We had an Inquiry Day on Monday. Our Big Idea for the day was Living things use Sounds and Expressions to Communicate. After Jumping in and learning how to speak chimpanzee we explored the big idea by gathering information, thinking and asking questions. We then decided that the best way to share our new knowlegde was to make a movie about the different ways chimps communicate.
Here it is....we hope you learn something new!
On Thursday Room 2, Room 3, and Room 5 went on a trip to the Windy Wellington Zoo. We meet Lynn (zoo teacher) at the Zoo School and she taught us about the different ways animals communicate with each other.
We had a picnic lunch up by the Chimpanzees and almost got blown away in the strong Wellington wind. After lunch we went in small groups to explore the zoo.
It was a great day but the wind made us very tired and some of us had a nap on the bus on the way home.
One day there was a hedgehog. He went to the beach.
He ate 500 apples and played on the playground.
Then the hedgehog ate 100 apples and he counted to 100.
Then he went to play in the sea. Then a shark came along and ate him. But the shark got spikes inside his body and the hedgehog ran away to his home.
The End.
